Yeah well...
Word came down today that the most recent warning from the folks at homeland security was about three years old. Thanks guys. You're on the ball.
Of course, the Democrats had spent a lot of time on Sunday and Monday whining about how this was a Bush Administration ploy to take away from the Democratic convention. Don't know if they are right, but this certainly doesn't look good. It also makes it difficult for the public to really figure out what's important to listen to.
I understand it's tough to decide what information to disseminate, but how about making sure that the stuff you do tell us really is as urgent as you say. Keep crying wolf and you'll put us all in a whole lot more danger than if you gave a more reasonable assessment of the situation when talking to the media in the first place.
